Hello and welcome to my home away from home! I'd like to begin to tell you a bit about myself, and then get into Wildwood Creations and how it came to be what it is today! My name is Krista, and I have been a practicing witch now for over half a decade. I've always been interested in spirituality and the arts, but never fully committed until that time. When I decided to fully commit myself, I gave myself the traditional year and a day worth of study before I even declared myself as a witch. I got heavily involved with the exploration of the metaphysical properties of crystals and herbs, and every day I would immerse myself within some type of witchy book. Through this time, I was going through a very pivotal moment in my life. I was changing everything I knew about myself and exploring all the possibilities of a better life; one that I then and now feel I deserved. I started really working towards being a more loving person to myself. I really took the label "Witch" and owned it. I slowly over time integrated my beliefs into my every day way of life - which I totally have to thank Deborah Blake for her "Goddess is in the Details" and "Everyday Witchcraft" books along with many other magical guidebooks. I also started taking a lot better care of myself internally, and really started focusing on a self-loving path that heavily involved a lot of reconditioning and restructuring of detrimental thought patterns and habits. Luckily, things got easier as time passed, and my witchy ways started to manifest in my physical world all around me - it wasn't only an internal part of me anymore. I started creating permanent sacred spaces (which I now have three!) and my daughter, Lux, has also taken on her own set of beliefs. She has transformed her nightstand into a lovely little altar for herself which I consider to be the neatest area in her room. She also now owns two oracle decks, and is wanting more as time passes and she's very interested in crystals. During these years I have been studying many forms of witchery including metaphysical properties of crystals, spells of all kinds and with the use of many materials, herbal magic, kitchen magic, tarot and oracle reading, and much much more. It is now such a part of me that it reflects in all that I do and all that I am. I couldn't imagine myself any other way now, and I'm very proud of the person I have become. I still have so much learning to do though, as do all practitioners of the craft, and with all the wonderful resources at my fingertips I couldn't be more grateful to be where I am today - and looking strong and happily into what will come!
The first inclination to design Wildwood Creations originally manifested with a miniature altar set that I ended up buying a long time ago. It was when I first started practicing, and I wanted some tools of my own to start my spell work. The kit I got was rather small, and I noticed a few way I could enhance it. I decided to start trying to create one of my own. I was also heavily inspired by many other forms of artwork such as wood burning, which I ended up making a few pendants from ash wood that I respectfully harvested myself, debarked, sanded, and created into something that could be used as a very powerful talisman or amulet. I love being able to use all different kinds of media to create different products and crafts. It's a passion of mine to be able to create new things, and evolve. I like to switch up creations so that, as an artist, I feel completely open and free to create and in turn, that makes me feel very inspired to continuously create. I started selling my wooden pendants, and in time, ended up selling my altar sets which turned out to be the highlight sale of my business. I was continuously being asked for custom orders whenever I would make one and put one up for sale. What drives me to this day to keep creating and making all these metaphysical tools is the fact that I am helping a fellow witch to manifest her own magic. That is such a surreal and powerful feeling in itself. I have always loved helping people, and now at this point in time with Wildwood Creations, I plan on becoming a spiritual counselor and using tarot as a holistic healing tool. I have always been very passionate about helping others, and this way I can not only help others with physical creations I make, but also spiritually and emotionally as well. I cannot wait to see where Wildwood Creations will go, and I am so fortunate to have all of you who purchase from my store. With each order I get closer to my dream of being able to help others in all ways, and I cannot thank you enough for that. Your continuous support means more than you know, and I can't wait to see where Wildwood Creations is a month from now, a year from now, and so on. Seeing it develop is magical, and all of your help is deeply appreciated. Thank you so much for all of your support. Blessed be my sacred souls!
